Pro-Abortionists Clobbered?

Lefties and liberals are up in arms!

Some people will bemoan it as "clerics getting involved in politics" but the intervention of the Scottish prelate, Cardinal Keith O'Brien (pictured here), cannot but be welcomed by those who believe that abortion is wrong and that the family is under attack.

Ever since the 1967 Abortion Act (put up by David Steel), abortion has become an out of control form of contraception to enable the selfish to kill their children so as to afford that posh car, that foreign holiday etc.

Only the other week a family friend of ours mentioned in passing that they had decided to buy a new car rather than have another child.

Having bought their new car (their second car!) it's highly probable that should a pregnancy happen they might well abort the child!

That's not to be flippant - some people do live on the breadline, but the simple answer for all politicians (especially those who claim to be Christians) is to provide the necessary support structures to allow for more children.

Atheists and reds will moan about "clerical fascism" etc., but if the politicians want to enter the Churches, and in this case receive Communion, then they should abide by the rules.

Christianity is not (or rather, should not be) a cloak of convenience for scumbags to prove how "nice" they are while they pass all manner of obscene laws.

I remember a previous Scottish cleric (I think it was the Bishop of Aberdeen at the time, Mario Conti) was a staunch figure behind the struggle against (primarily Socialist) Scottish politicians who wanted to repeal Section 28, the law which prevented homosexuality being promoted by councils and schools.

All too often the Bishops of the world (Catholic, Anglican and other) are weak fops. They prevaricate as the world sinks lower. They wine and dine politicians who are out to destroy Christian civilisation and Christian morality.

Thank God there are a few (still too few) who stand up and speak out.

Yes, we all know too many of them covered-up sexual abuse by a tiny minority of priests, vicars etc. - and look at the harm that did?

Where are the fire and brimstone preachers and orators of yesteryear?

There was a time when homosexuals would never get into a seminary - nowadays some seminaries are full of them!

The sexual abuse scandals were formed and became inevitable when the Church relaxed its rules and its stance on homosexuality. FC sold an excellent pamphlet on this put out by a journal called Christian Order.

You reap what you sow.

It's time for the Church to practice what they preach, and if they can speak out against politicians who promote abortion, then that's a start!

People are searching for answers - and that's why so many get into New Age crap, or convert to weirdo religions like Buddhism or Islam.

Perhaps if clerics actually did follow moral lines, did speak out against society's ills, did lead crusades against social evils... then (more) people might come to the defence of Christianity and Christendom against Socialism, against Islam, against Capitalism, against Judaism...

OK, that's probably a long way off, but a long journey starts with a small step.

As Archbishop
Peter Smith of Cardiff joins Cardinal Keith O'Brien in denouncing pro-Abortion MPs who claim to be Catholic, might this awaken others?

Might we see an end to the politically correct drip, drip, drip of anti-family policies (a Chinese Water Torture of slow annihilation of all things decent)?

The Pope, as head of the Catholic Church, is well known for his strong stance on morals. Might the Queen - as head of the Anglican Church - be forced into a position of defending family morals?

Wasn't it the King of Belgium who at least had the backbone to stand down for a day as his parliament passed a law on Abortion: not so Elizabeth II as laws on abortion and homosexuality have been passed, time after time, in Westminster.

Mass rallies around the UK have shown that more Christians (of many denominations) are sick of an anti-Christian agenda in parliament and in the media.

Thank God for Cardinal O'Brien and Archbishop Smith. The thought of pro-abortionists like Gerry Adams
and Tony Blair (if and when he converts) being refused communion is enough the warm the cockles of anyone's heart.
