Politics is a dirty business, but then life is no bed of roses.
It was never meant to be.
Nationalism claims to be cleaner than the politics of what Mosley used to call "the old gang" and I suppose for that reason (and because it goes up against very powerful vested interests) it's adherents can expect to have a bit of a rough ride from time to time.
The sad thing is though most of the crap nationalists take is from... other nationalists.
Of course some of this comes down to man's fallen nature and petty "office politics" that you find in most professions.
We like to think that nationalism is above all that, but it isn't.
Some of this is down to malcontents, some of it from agent provocateurs and some of it down to people out to fill their boots or make a name for themselves.
The important thing to remember is that the vehicle is more important than the crew.
Cowboys will come and go. Managerial gurus will come and go. Alcoholics and deadbeats will come and go.
Nationalism will, nationalism must, live on.
Some days when you have been threatened by some net-warrior with the IQ of a blancmange or you've seen some lie about yourself or a comrade repeated for the Nth time by the ignorant you can start to wonder "is it worth it."
The important thing to do is to remember that as long as you stay true, do not corrupt, do not give in, do not thieve - then there is nothing that the enemy can do to impugn your honour.
There's a saying that a lie has traveled around he world while the truth is still putting its boots on. That's correct: and our enemies know that.
But stay true to your ideals patriot and nationalist and there is nothing they can do.
I remember one obnoxious cretin some 7 years ago. He was a typical oily sycophant who thought he knew everything. Extremely vocal, slagging off people, a cock-sure idiot who like the empty vessel made most noise.
He disappeared rapidly. I'll spare his blushes - wherever he is.
We all know of certain people and parties in more recent years who have spread lies and discontent thicker than strawberry jam on a fat boy's sandwich.
People come and go. Even parties come and go.
Read, study, understand.
Then they will never be able to take nationalism away from you - or you away from nationalism.
