Our Reader's Poll: Should Scotland...

Be independent
  41 (39%)
Be more devolved
  5 (4%)
Retain the status quo
  6 (5%)
Return to unionism / abolish Holyrood
  52 (50%)

An interesting result, clearly showing polarisation between Unionism and Independence, with half favouring the former. A full 55% seem to agree with the Tories/NuLab etc. that there should be Unionism or the status quo.

Interestingly, unless someone can state otherwise, I do not think there is a political party that favours abolishing Holyrood. UKIP and the BNP (and even the Tories) may once have pushed that line, but they all now seem to accept its existence, within a United Kingdom.

That 39% of readers favour Scottish Independence (43% if you include "devo-max") is also of interest, in that this is quite a high number and also given that most of our readership is outside Scotland.

Of course, this blog is also read by non-nationalists who may well favour Scottish independence or unionism, we have no control over who votes. Perhaps we should also have put a don't know/care option.

Readers' input welcome.

Poll of the Week: Response to Israel's War Crimes

After the Onslaught in Gaza, Should Israel:

Face War Crimes Trials?
20 (71%)
Have Import/Export Bans?
10 (35%)
(and its supporters) Be Boycotted
10 (35%)
Pay Reparations for the Murders and Destruction?
12 (42%)
& Nick Griffin Get Our Full Support
1 (3%)
Enough Already! More Holocaust Films on TV!
3 (10%)

An interesting response. Clearly the feeling that Israel should face war crimes trials is quite strong amongst our readers.

It's nice to see Lee Barnes took the time to vote too.

Almost half those who voted also thought that Israel should pay reparations. As the foremost "squeezer" of reparations from countries, businesses and banks - including Axis and neutral powers in WW2! - it would be most satisfying to see Israel pay back for all the land they've stolen and all the suffering they have inflicted.

With Israel blockading gaza because it dared to choose it's own government, might a blockade of Israel be in order because of the actions of their government? Is that how it works in international law?

Poll of the Week: BNP Membership List

Who do you think leaked the BNP membership list?

The BNP Leadership
29 (47%)
Ex-BNP Rebels
8 (13%)
Spooks in the BNP
15 (24%)
Spooks outside the BNP
3 (4%)
Reds
3 (4%)
Others known or unknown
0 (0%)
I Don't Know/Care
3 (4%)

Since this poll closed there's been news of 'two arrests' in Nottinghamshire, which seems to point to the "BNP rebels."

But are these mere fishing trips used by a grateful police? Conspiratorially minded patriots may say this could be a fit-up and the State is happy to paint the rebels as the guilty party. BNP "loyalists" will say this proves their argument.

Whether true or fabricated, it will have repercussions on the court case between the "rebels" and the BNP leadership...

I guess we'll just have to watch this space.

---

P.S. According to comments on the NWNationalist Blog, the two Nottinghamshire BNP "Rebels" who were arrested were released without charge, so it seems it was a BNP-inspired excuse for a police trawl. So the conspiracy trails have very far from dried up!

FC Poll Result on Fuel Prices

An interesting poll this week.

Is the runaway price of oil down to:

"Peak Oil" i.e supplies running out.
1 (5%)
Speculation by Financiers
12 (66%)
Supply and demand (esp India and China)
2 (11%)
None of the above.
3 (16%)

The majority view is my own, i.e. that financiers and speculators have done much to create this situation; their own greed outweighing any sense of duty to the common good - 'twas ever thus!

For those who voted "None of the above" perhaps you could write your ideas in the feedback section.

Other ideas, anecdotes, evidence etc. appreciated.

FC Poll Result on Members, Appeals etc.

Do You Think FC Should Have:

A Membership Structure.
4 (57%)
A Supporter Structure
3 (42%)
A Militants' Levy
3 (42%)
More Fundraising
1 (14%)
Appeals For Specific Campaigns
4 (57%)
None of the Above
0 (0%)

It's a shame that a few more people didn't vote if only to give an external viewpoint.

The idea for this poll came about after one supporter sent us a £10 donation last week along with a letter asking why we couldn't have a membership structure...

I guess we'll have to chew the fat on that one and decide what can be done.

FC Poll Result on Usury Banking

Last week's readers poll was:

Is Usury Banking

A scandal - to be outlawed immediately
22 (91%)
An unfortunate necessity.
2 (8%)
Good for economic growth
0 (0%)
An irrelevance
0 (0%)
I don't know
0 (0%)

Good to see common sense prevail...

Usury banking is one of the worst scandals of the epoch that has seen our people forced from the land, crammed into slums, forced into factories, forced down mines etc. etc.

There are plenty of ways around usury banking that do not mean loan-shark rates, endless debt and high taxation.

With all we are suffering - and have suffered - our government should be looking at usury free ways for government, business, local councils and families/individuals.

How many depressions, black Mondays/Fridays, slumps, runs on banks, credit crunches etc. etc. do we need before we curb the glutinous nature of the current banking system and replace it with something natural, and aimed towards the betterment of the nation and the Common Good?

FC Poll Result on Animal-Human Hybrid Chimeras

In our last poll of readers we asked:

Do You Trust the Government in Creating Animal-Human Hybrid Embryos (Chimeras)?

Yes
0 (0%)
No
27 (96%)
Don't Know
1 (3%)

What's interesting here is that most visitors are plainly wary of the government, if not overtly opposed to what's been called "Frankenstein" science. The media have tried to paint this as facing opposition primarily from a few Catholic Bishops... the truth is that a wide range of people feel uncomfortable about this.

As we've seen from the abortion "debate" (stop laughing!) the BBC et al will often paint opposition as merely 'clerical' whilst giving copious airtime to "experts" (often those, with abortion and chimeras) who look to profit from the questionable practices.

As we've seen from one of our previous weekly quotes, the BBC has acknowledged it is crammed full of homosexuals and lefties: is it any wonder it presents slanted material on these moral questions?

FC Poll Result on Acceptable Nationalists

Do you think any of these should be allowed in the nationalist movement:

Drug Users
5 (13%)
Homosexuals
7 (18%)
Non-Whites
6 (16%)
Paedophiles
2 (5%)
Jews
5 (13%)
Bankrupts
10 (27%)
Serial Adulterors
5 (13%)
Burglers/Thieves
2 (5%)
None of the Above
20 (54%)

Votes so far: 37

As usual our poll has offered a few interesting results.

Clearly there are a core of bad visitors, with 2 people voting for paedos and thieves (perhaps the BNP design team?) as for the rest if you take away the figures for bankrupts (given the BNP leader is one, it might explain the hight percentage) the other figures fluctuate at 13 - 18%, a low figure when you discount the 5% who voted for paedos and burglars.

At a rough figure then we can say that circa 87% of nationalists do not favour the inclusion of homosexuals, Jews, non-Whites etc. That doesn't even take into account non-nationalist visitors who might have made a vote in favour of one or other of the categories to register their attack on nationalism.

Food for thought...

FC Poll Result on Princess Diana

The results for last week's poll were:

Was Prince Diana:

Murdered?
11 (35%)
Killed in an Accident?
8 (25%)
A survivor - Now Living with Elvis in Norwich?
12 (38%)

With an evenly answered poll like this it seems obvious that few people take the matter so seriously.

FC Poll Result on Britain's Future

Last week's question in the FC Poll was:

Independent of the EU, should we:

Go back to the British Union with no devolution?
13 (32%)
Keep the current status quo?
0 (0%)
Have the Union - but with more powers devolved?
4 (10%)
Have a Confederacy of Nations retaining British institutions?
2 (5%)
Independence for England and the Celtic Nations?
21 (52%)

This produced a number of interesting results.

Right: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is circa 300 years old. Will it last much longer?

We envisaged that there would be a clear-cut division between the positions we'll label "unionism" and "separatism," which was borne out in the voting patterns.

Interestingly, those favouring English independence were over half of the voters, possibly a stronger vote than may have been garnered in years gone by.

Also interesting is the fact that no-one voted to keep the status quo, presumably no-one happy with a "half way" house.

Is - or has! - nationalism changed and would nationalists be happier with the nations of these isles modeled on the Scandinavian model (friendly, independent, confident various-sizes neighbours with some common history living harmoniously side-by-side) rather than a Belgian model of forced political Union?

When (the currently English border town) Berwick Upon Tweed has voted by almost 80% to rejoin Scotland, there is clearly something in the air.

Many observers think Gordon Brown (as a Scot who has to prove he's "ultra British patriot" as UK Prime Minister) will block any act of parliament allowing Berwick to return to Scotland.

Left: Berwick Upon Tweed, now most residents want the border moved Southwards so the town returns to Scotland. The dotted line is the existent English-Scottish border.

After the farce of Brown's crony/hireling Milliband (offspring of rich, Jewish Marxists) telling other European Nations that the (Neo-Con backed) illegal actions of the Albanians in Serbia won't set a precedent, who would be able to take Brown's blocking of the democratic wishes of the townsfolk of Berwick seriously?

Still unless Berwick becomes a US air base or home to a CIA station, America won't force the issue...
