The War Being Waged in Parliament, the Media and on the Streets

The Mail on Sunday is a Zionist rag. Yet, as with the equally vomit-inducing socialist Guardian, it sometimes publishes items verging on the truth (albeit with their controlling twist).

With The Mail it's usually immigration (but they aren't against race-mixing) and The Guardian it's on Zionist wars (but they aren't against Israel and Zionist power per se).

Of course the flip side is that the Mail is screamingly pro-Israel and The Guardian is screamingly pro-immigrant.

Whatever poison you choose your nation suffers: that's the truth of the controlled mass-media.

Anyway today's Mail on Sunday has a glimmer of the truth.

A man who chose to display a palm cross (today is Palm Sunday) in his works van is facing the sack from a boss who is free to display a picture of Che Guevara in his office (pictured above)!

That's the truth of it. All this anti-Christian hysteria doesn't come from the Muslims, the Sikhs, the Zoroastrians (?) or the 57 varieties of multi-faith pick n mix ecumaniacal religions flourishing in post-Christian Britain.

The hatred towards Christianity comes from the Marxists, the Socialists, the Masons, the Zionists: the extreme anti-Christian political commissars of the Left and Right, the type that infest the political parties, that infest Brussels (and so create the EU 'human rights' legislation).

These are the people who ban Christmas celebrations: the Muslims et al don't really care -- it's the cultural Marxists who are behind the local government schemes: they are the Marxist "Al Qaeda" out to ban and banish Christ, and they use the excuse of Muslims, Sikhs etc. when the latter don't really mind that much.

The same cultural Marxists push homosexuality, multi-culti, race-mixing and more in the schools, in the local papers etc.

Oh yes, faggots have their rights. The Jews and Muslims have their rights. The Satanists have their rights. The "Transgender community" have their rights. All ushered on by Marxists in local government and Bankster-bribed Masons in national government and the EU.

Everyone has the right to do anything. Do What Thou Wilt is the Crowleyesque order of the day. Poofs jailed for public outrages and worse are played on the radio. Known druggies infest the media. The "heroes" of today are the degenerates, all cheered on by a media run by the same degenerates, poofs and druggies. Imagine a celeb speaking against homosexuality or immigration? Do you think his songs would get played or he'd still host a TV show?

Yes - everyone has the right to do anything: except Christians of course!

Christianity has been pegged into a 'Songs of Praise' corner. As long as you sing Kum-By-Ya, accept homosexuals, embrace multi-culti and think of Christianity as one-amongst-many in the pick n mix range that has "enriched" the UK (enriched is a media code word for chaos, destruction, loss and invasion/colonialism), then you get the thumbs up from the poofs and druggies infesting the media.

As long as you adopt this Judaised, bastardised, EU-acceptable empty husk then you get the all clear from the powers-that-be.

But if you are a Christian that stands publicly by your Faith, that says others are false, that condemns homosexuality, usury, abortion etc. - then watch out!

The cultural Marxists will scream for your blood. These media cases (like the B&B sodomites and the Sodomites kissing in a pub) are show-trials. They are put out to scare us into shutting up, to warn us against speaking out.

This is a war. It is a war being waged in parliaments, in councils, in businesses and on the streets.

It is our duty to fight back.

Christmas Day: And the Evil Sodomites Plan Unravels

According to reports the sodomite 'couple' Elton John and David Furnish arranged for "their" baby to be born on Christmas Day.

Some might say this was an ostentatious Christmas present, others might point to a more sinister reasoning. After all, Reg Dwight (John) has publicly said he would like all those opposed to homosexuality put on an island and a bomb dropped on them.

He may be many things, but he's no fool. He knows most Christians are opposed to homosexuality, and he knows that Christmas Day and the birth of Christ is a special Feast Day for Christians throughout the world.

Now every Christmas the 'flamboyant' pair will make the news on the latest extravagance foisted on their spoilt brat.

Our only hope is that the spoilt brat rebels and opposes sodomites with every fibre in his body!

But seriously, why is this issue important to nationalists?

a. Because some nationalists seem to think it is "OK" to have homosexuals in our ranks, thus making us no different from all the establishment lackeys.
b. Because unless we as nationalists make a stand against this kind of degeneracy and rank hypocrisy we will absolutely see the end of 2000 years of "Western", Christian civilisation -- given over to the Masonic powers who want to corrupt our societies completely.

While the media, political parties, Hollywood etc. promote homosexuality, we cannot hope to stop immigration, stamp out drug abuse etc. because all these moral diseases are inextricably linked (if only because homosexuals - especially in the media - are behind attacks on nationalism and Christianity, and behind the promotion of drugs, immigration etc).

We, as a society, are rotting away from within whilst these cancers spread -- destroying the lives of countless victims and ripping apart communities -- and we have a duty to oppose the cancers and speak out for what is absolutely right.

In doing so people will thank us for offering a true alternative devoid of drugs, sodomites, mass immigration and much else besides.

BBC Story Repeats Jewish Libel

It's almost Christmas, when Christians celebrate the 2000 year old festivity of the birth of Christ, so as usual we get an attack on the central tenet of the Nativity story.

Now I know this comes from the newspaper of a pornographer with an axe to grind against the BBC, but we have to ask whether a full frontal assault on Judaism or Islam would be allowed on the BBC.

For Christians, to question the parentage of Christ is a despicable act, because it undermines the salvific nature of Christ's birth and the Holiness of Christmas itself.

That this 2000 year old Jewish lie against Mary and Christ (repeated on the BBC many times - not least in Jeremy Bowen's series on the history of Christ) should be aired shows that the BBC (known for its gay mafia and Commie-tendency) does not fear to assault Christ and Christmas.

We should all be outraged, because this undermines our European, Christian heritage (what's left of it!) and once Christmas is undermined and gone as a special occasion, there will be nothing left to mark our Christian heritage.

the same day the Obama White House bowed before the anti-Christ Hanukkah
image (Moldova is located in Eastern Europe, between Romania and

Led by a Christian priest of the Orthodox Church, identified as Fr.
Anatoly Chirbik, the 100-strong patriotic demonstrators gathered at
Stefan The Great Square where the giant menorah was erected next to the
statue of the Christian ruler and military genius Stefan the Great
(1432-1504). The police said they tried without success to convince the
Christians not to pull the Menorah out adding that they didn’t want to
oppress the Christians.

Standing in front of the object of offense, Fr. Chirbik cried out:
“We’re an Orthodox Christian country. Placing a Jewish symbol next to
the statue of Stephen the Great is an offense. Stephan the Great
defended our country from all kinds of Jews and now they come and put
their menorah right in the middle of our square. This is sacrilege!”

Lifting the Moldovan flag and displaying it to the television news
cameras, Fr. Chirbik added, “The Cross here on our flag is our symbol.
We will protect our nation with the holy Cross! No Jew will oppress us
in our own nation!”

The patriots proceeded to uproot the menorah and replaced it with the
Cross. They dumped the menorah behind a statue of the national hero King
Stefan. On hearing this news, Christians throughout Moldova and Romania
felt a deep sense of relief in seeing brave Christian patriots having
the guts to finally take action against Jewry’s cultural intrusion.

Now that we’ve reached December, it’s the time of year to observe (and suffer from) that familiar Jewish attitude toward Christmas: hate.

VDARE is now running its excellent War Against Christmas exposé of assaults on Christmas by “multicultural” haters of a holiday hundreds of millions of Americans love and cherish. For my money, it’s the best source of information on this particularly hurtful aspect of the war on Western cultures and people.

Tom Piatak leads off this year’s account, giving us a link to an Israeli paper’s description of what some Jews do on Christmas Eve. Reading it, I clearly saw the source for so much of Hollywood’s distaste for what Christmas means and what Christians do to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Scurry over to this Israeli site for the skinny — For them, it's wholly unholy:

Christmas Eve is one of the few occasions when Hasidim refrain from Torah study, do not conduct weddings or go to the mikveh. But they do play chess and work on their bills.

On Christmas Eve, known in Jewish circles as Nitel Night, the klipot (shells) are in total control. The klipot are parasitical evil forces that attach themselves to the forces of good. According to kabbala (Jewish mysticism), on the night on which "that man" — a Jewish euphemism for Jesus - was born, not even a trace of holiness is present and the klipot exploit every act of holiness for their own purposes.

For this reason, Nitel Night, from nightfall to midnight, is one of the few occasions when Hasidim refrain from Torah study. On this horrific night, they neither conduct weddings nor do they go to the mikveh (ritual bath). An entire folkloric literature has developed around the unusual recreational activities of Nitel Night.

Oh, there’s the usual disclaimer that not all Jews follow this custom, but in two decades of research on Jews, I’ve found that it’s simply a truism that Jews have an exceedingly negative view of Jesus, Mary, Christians and Christmas. No wonder so many spit when passing a church . . . or even spit on Christians themselves.

But in the Haaretz story, this passage about Kabbalistic toilet paper really stood out:

The Knesset correspondent of the ultra-Orthodox newspaper Hamodia, Zvi Rosen, relates that celebrated Hasidic admorim (sect leaders) would cut a year's supply of toilet paper for Sabbath use (to avoid tearing toilet paper on Sabbath) on this night. Actually, this disrespectful act has profound kabbalistic significance, because kabbalistic literature extensively discusses Christianity as waste material excreted from the body of the Jewish people.

Honestly, I couldn’t make this stuff up. And get this: One of their commandments recommends that they attempt procreation on Friday night, which is a holy time. “Yet on Nitel Night, which has no holiness, it is customary to refrain from observing the commandment, because of the fear that a Jewish child conceived on Jesus' birthday could become an apostate.”

Now how might this anti-Christian sentiment play out in, say, The Big Apple, home to so many hip and chic magazines? According to one account, “it is tough to beat an illustration by the prominent comic-book creator Art Spiegelman. This was intended to go on the cover of the New Yorkermagazine in December, 1994, and it revealed Santa urinating in public. Even Tina Brown, the publicity-loving editor of the New Yorker at the time, thought Spiegelman had gone too far, and the piece was never used. In the long history of fallen Santas, that was a rare moment of restraint.” (But Brown did run Spiegelman’s Easter cover picture of the Easter Bunny being crucified.)

As we’ll see below in another case, here Jews spin their own hatred of others as a response to — drum roll — “anti-Semitism.” As one rabbi explained about Nitel Night, “Anti-Semites would ambush Jews and savagely beat them, sometimes even killing them, in the streets on Christmas Eve. Thus, the rabbis decreed that Jews should remain at home that night and not wander in the streets.”

Now go back and read my two-part series last year about Hollywood movies that kill the spirit of Christmas, and sometimes kill Santa, too. (See Merry Christmas . . . NOT! and Merry Christmas NOT! Part 2. We now have a better idea of the font for such a spirit of hatred.

Our editor Kevin MacDonald recently captured this spirit in his post on TOO’s new blog. When talking about a trio of rich Jews, he notes a passage from one of their books:

The Wikipedia entry includes a comment on [John Sperling’s] bookThe Great Divide: Retro vs. Metro America: “One America, to judge from the book’s illustrations, … lives in ‘vibrant’ cities with ballet troupes, super-creative Frank Gehry buildings and quiet, tasteful religious ritual; the other relies on contemptible extraction industries (oil, gas and coal) and inhabits a world of white supremacy and monster truck shows and religious ceremonies in which beefy men in cheap clothes scream incomprehensibly at one another.”

Now that I’ve got you in a spirit of, well, hate, let me introduce today’s subject: Professor Daniel Jonah Goldhagen.

Younger readers may not remember the name Daniel Jonah Goldhagen because he first came to our attention back in 1996 when his blistering first book, Hitler's Willing Executioners, appeared. That heavily hyped book wanted to take the blame for the Holocaust off Hitler and his lieutenants and put it where Goldhagen felt it belonged: on ALL Germans. They loved killing Jews in the Holocaust, Goldhagen argued. Being Christian and all, they had internalized virulent "eliminationist anti-Semitism."

Naturally, the New York Times adored the book (it spent twenty-five weeks on their Best Seller list), and it was translated into at least fifteen languages.

Across the Big Pond, it sparked the “Goldhagen Debate” in Germany. Defeated in war in 1945, and more thoroughly defeated in spirit ever since, the German nation lauded Goldhagen’s assault on them. A prestigious prize was given: “Because of the penetrating quality and the moral power of his presentation, Daniel Goldhagen has greatly stirred the consciousness of the German public."

Not all informed readers were as thrilled. Professor Albert Lindemann, for one, wrote in Esau’s Tears: Modern Anti-Semitism and the Rise of the Jews(Cambridge U. Press 1997) that treatments of the Holocaust by those such as Goldhagen “lack penetration in striking ways. A large number might best be described as cries of pain or expressions of indignation rather than efforts to understand.” Further, he called the book “questionable and simplistic; [Goldhagen] typically ignores, or is ignorant of, evidence that contradicts his by no means original reading of German history.” In sum, Goldhagen’s thesis about pan-German responsibility for the Holocaust “might be termed a twentieth-century psogos, a tirade that is motivated by goals other than the impartial search for truth.”

Well, that’s putting it more nicely than I would, but then Lindemann was writing a year after Goldhagen’s first book, while I have the advantage of a dozen more years to draw on. By 2002, Goldhagen had cast his net more widely in his next work, A Moral Reckoning: The Role of the Catholic Church in the Holocaust and Its Unfulfilled Duty of Repair. One reviewer for National Review, called A Moral Reckoning "a 352-page exercise in intellectual bad manners" and "a spree of intellectual wilding." This was part of the genre of anti-Catholic books that were all the rage during that period, prompting Philip Jenkins to pen The New Anti-Catholicism: The Last Acceptable Prejudice.

Now comes Professor Goldhagen’s latest book, Worse Than War: Genocide, Eliminationism, and the Ongoing Assault on Humanity. And what a doozy it is. I read the review of it in The New York Times Book Review. Reviewer James Traub thought it was swell.

To my surprise, another review of it turned up in The National Interest. The title of the review, “The Willing Misinterpreter,” captures the tone of the review. Though reviewer David Rieff is a fellow Jew (his mother was Susan Sontag, of blessed memory), he tears apart Goldhagen’s heated prose, beginning by labeling him an “amateur historian.”

As I noted, Goldhagen has widened his net in hunting bad guys, as Rieff picks up on: “Worse Than War is, depending on your point of view, either the logical conclusion of the path Goldhagen has been taking for the past fifteen years or its reductio ad absurdum.” Acknowledging Goldhagen’s families’ history, Rieff still states that Goldhagen’s views “are either willfully naïve or idiotic.” Tracing the bombastic style Goldhagen employs to Goldhagen’s high regard for . . . Daniel Jonah Goldhagen, Rieff concludes that “The man really does give self-love a bad name.”

In addition to the differences in assessments of the worth of Worse Than War, I noticed one other important difference between The Times piece and that inThe National Interest: The former ignores Jewish identity and Israel, while Rieff twice notes Goldhagen’s powerful pro-Israel orientation. This prompts me to unpack the review in The Times.

To do this, however, allow me a short digression. Earlier this year, I was musing over the question of whether Jews ever feel guilt or remorse when they blatantly insult, injure or kill goyim. I had to conclude, based on my research and observations, that the answer was no. Invariably, they possess mental traits that allow them to project their guilty behavior onto the actual victim, and in turn conceive of themselves as the victims. (Have a look at Chapter 8 of Kevin MacDonald’s Separation and Its Discontents: Toward an Evolutionary Theory of Anti-Semitism, which deals with the phenomenon of Jewish self-deception.)

No sooner had I reached this conclusion than E. Michael Jones in his magazine Culture Wars called my views into question. In the April issue, he published his essay “Jewish Monsters from the Jewish Id.” The essay was partially based on his 2000 book Monsters from the Id: The Rise of Horror in Fiction and Film. The book discussed how the sexual liberation crowd "tried to drive religious and moral nature out with a pitchfork, but found that nature only returned through the back door, in the form of a monster." In other words, as one review summarized with respect to sexual license and its attendant abortion problem, “Horror, says Jones, comes from a guilty conscience that won't admit that it’s done anything wrong — and horror stories reveal the true nature of that guilt again and again.”

Jones combined this with his remarkable 2008 book The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit and Its Impact on World History to argue that the 2009 film The Unborn “is about Jewish guilt over abortion manifesting itself as fetal monsters.”

Jones’ review is too long to describe here, but let me say I found his argument compelling. Let me just offer this one passage because it informs what follows on Goldhagen. The crucial Jewish role in getting abortion legalized in America, Jones argues, plus the high rates at which Jews abort their own children,

explains the need to bring up Auschwitz, because the function of the holocaust is to absolve all Jews from any guilt they may have incurred by violating the moral law. Auschwitz is the totem which calms the troubled Jewish conscience by assuring the Jew that he is the eternal victim, and, as such, incapable of incurring guilt as the perpetrator of some immoral act like, say, killing a fellow Jew in the womb of his mother.

More pertinently yet, Jones sees that last December’s Israeli massacre of innocent Palestinian women and children also inevitably creates subconscious Jewish guilt. Which brings me back to Goldhagen and the review of his book inThe New York Times.

The Times review never mentions Israel or its behavior. Goldhagen is writing about all manner of genocides and man’s inhumanity to man, but the review is silent on one of the most prominent ongoing examples in the world: that of the Israelis against the Palestinians (see “For Whom the Gaza Bell Tolls,” Part 1and Part 2.) Early chapters in Worse Than War have titles such as “Our Age’s Slaughters” and “Varieties of Eliminationist Assault,” so I have to wonder if he admits to what Israel is doing and has done.

More broadly, I find it highly unlikely that Goldhagen will highlight the prominent Jewish role in the Communist takeover of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, resulting in tens of millions of deaths of non-Jews. Perhaps readers familiar with this new book can help me.

Based on the two reviews I’ve discussed, however, as well as Goldhagen’s past works, I’d wager that he ignores, downplays, or denies Jewish guilt in any number of mass slaughters over the ages. If so, I can proffer this hypothesis: A Jewish writer like Goldhagen is projecting Jewish guilt for Jewish behavior onto the groups he writes about. More to the point, Goldhagen himself is dealing with the guilt engendered by concrete Jewish behavior, but is repressing it. As we all know, what is repressed must come out somewhere.

The result in Goldhagen’s case is a series of increasingly obsessive books, where the target group grows larger and larger. Meanwhile, because Goldhagen has mis-identified the source of his rage, his rage only grows.

So what else might be going on in the mind of Goldhagen, one of the most privileged Americans of his generation? As far as I can tell, no one has ever touched or threatened a hair on his head. He was born in Massachusetts and raised as the son of a Harvard professor (who survived the Holocaust). In turn, Daniel attended Harvard from B.A. through Ph.D. and then taught there for some years. What might account for his elevated level of what can only be termed hate?

Getting back to my introductory discussion on this “Jewish virtue” of hate — yes, it was so identified in an infamous essay in First Things, “The virtue of hate” where the Jewish rabbi and then Yale Divinity School student admitted that a nun who realized that “hatred is in the Jewish religion” was right. As most of us already know, “Hebrew prophets and judges believed ardently in the ‘virtue of hate.’” With a passion. I like that. And the rabbi has no problem acknowledging that “many Jews, in my own experience, have continued to despise religions Christians.” Bottom line: “When hate is appropriate, then it is not only virtuous, but essential for Jewish well-being.”

It is a common Jewish personality trait that we cannot ignore because so many Jews direct so much hatred toward so many of us non-Jews. Worse, they have the power to turn that hatred into real harm (and to subsequently protect themselves from their actions).

As just another taste of this process, peruse Hervé Ryssen's characterizationof Jewish intellectuals' contempt for non-Jews in this piece:

It is not enough for these intellectuals to talk nonsense, to lull us with “human rights,” to bind us with repressive laws, and to inject us with alien cultural poisons. They also have to pour into our ears their contempt for our old cultures. But this contempt does not seem to fully satisfy their thirst for revenge. They must also insult us and spit in our faces: “ignoramuses, xenophobes, paranoiacs, morons, lunatics, etc.” . . .

And I will not recount the innumerable films in which the cosmopolitan scriptwriters take their revenge against Christian civilization and the white man in general. It seems obvious to me, regarding all this logorrhea, that these people hate us. It could not be any more obvious if they wore flashing neon signs on their heads.

Let me close with this point: Goldhagen writes that “hundreds of millions of people are at risk of becoming the victims of genocide and related violence.” God help us if Goldhagen is projecting repressed Jewish desires and intentions, for given the current Jewish stranglehold over America, they could indeed induce mass slaughter. We have seen the process at work in Russia, so we know many of the details, accentuated by the tremendous death toll of non-Jews. Recall that “anyone who had the misfortune to fall into the hands of the Cheka stood a very good chance of finding himself confronted with and possibly shot by a Jewish investigator.”

Tomislav Sunic expounded on this parallel between Soviet Russia and today’s America in Homo Americanus: Child of the Postmodern Age. In that book, he saw dark clouds on the horizon for any group in America that might be targeted: “Thus, in order for the proper functioning of future Americanized society, the removal of millions of surplus citizens must become a social and possibly also an ecological necessity.” Kevin MacDonald, in the book’s Foreword, identified what sectors might be targeted “and therefore worthy of mass murder by the American counterparts of the Jewish elite in the Soviet Union—the ones who journeyed to Ellis Island instead of Moscow.” They are the European-derived Whites populating vast areas of the American nation, particularly in the so-called “red states.”

Remember, ideas have consequences. And the good Professor Goldhagen seems to have a fixation on genocide. That worries me, given that he is plugged into the ruling circles of the United States.

But in some distant future, there might be hope. As evidenced by his own books, Goldhagen opts to collectively blame Germans, to collectively blame Catholics, to collectively blame many other groups for their trespasses. What if Jews were ever to collectively repent for their considerable trespasses against others these last three-four millennia? To repent for their financial, political, and most of all lethal crimes against humanity? Maybe then the projection and repression might stop and the world

Michael Matt's Christmas editorial in The Remnant, "From Bethlehem to Calvary," notes that a burgeoning Christophobia has launched a concerted attack on the birthday of Jesus. Mr. Matt asks just what are these grinches afraid of?

I believe one clue is to be found in the disturbing memo recently made available on the web by Randy Engel at her U.S. Coalition for Life site, www.uscl.info. In this heinous 1969 memo from Planned Parenthood to the Population Council, numerous strategies for controlling world population growth are outlined. The current implementation of many of these proposed policies from forty years ago illustrates the power and influence of the Population Control machine. For example, one of their nefarious schemes is to "encourage increased homosexuality." Yes, your children are being exposed to this life style not because anyone really cares about some nebulous self-fulfillment or self-expression, but because rampant homosexuality will contribute to population reduction!

Abortion, contraception, denigration of marriage, propagandizing women to abandon their homes and enter the workforce, control of education, etc., it's all there in this 1969 blueprint, including compulsory sterilization and child-bearing limits.

The celebration of the birthday of Jesus is the worst nightmare of the Population Control lobby. During this season, the birth of a male child is literally glorified throughout the land. This event is presented as a time of great joy and happiness, with hymns commemorating it. The grotto becomes an archetype of the domestic hearth, with a husband and wife presenting their lovely new-born baby to warmly-welcomed visitors and strangers. And to make matters worse for the Population Control Grinches, the spouses are of opposite sexes!

December 25th flies in the face of the entire secular New World Order agenda, with its anti-family, anti-traditional-marriage, anti-childbirth, and anti-God satanic program. As we know, they even hate the very word "Christmas," attempting to eliminate mention of it in the public square. But the more they attack this Holy Day, the more we should promote it, since it is a Divine wedge uprooting their evil machinations. It teaches us that the birth of a child is something joyful and wonderful, not a "punishment" as President Obama has contended *. And that is why they are afraid of Christmas.

The BNP leader thinks the death, torture, expulsion and maltreatment of Palestinian Christians by the Zionists is "none of our business" yet wants to lecture us on the maltreatment of Christian Arabs in North Africa hundreds of years ago. It's not exactly joined up thinking is it?

Or is Mr. Griffin saying that Israel deliberately targets Arab families, children, mothers, UN shelters, UN aid convoys, Arab paramedics, hospitals, schools and Red Cross facilities? Wouldn't that be "anti-Semitic?"

Let us overlook the Israeli-connection of the "Bankers Bust" starting with Ron Sandlers at the dirty money-making end in America and reaching right up to to the Rothschilds.

Let us overlook the Israeli-connection of the wars we are currently fighting which all began back in the 90s when the Americans' launched 'Operation Israel Shield' as a means to invade Iraq.

It's comforting to know that Mr. Griffin thinks that anything outside our waters remains the affairs of others and not that of a political party which (despite its lack of representatives on all levels) claims to be the fourth party (ahead of the Greens and UKIP to give just two examples with more MEPs, MPs, councilors etc.) in the UK.

Should we take any political party seriously that thumbs its nose at foreign news?

Or is this a refreshing new stance? A position that decries involvement in all manner of foreign "tittle tattle" that has no knock-on effect, economic impact or social repercussions on the UK?

Well, let's leave aside the fact that Israeli terror against Gaza does have all those and thus is of great import to the UK (not least because our cretinous government is Zionist - i.e. pro-Israeli - and sits on America's coat-tails).

We can surely take comfort in Mr. Griffin's words that he and the BNP stay out of foreign affairs...

But what's this?

And a diatribe against Islam??? Is the BNP now a religious party? What about the swingers and paedophiles near the leadership? Are they busy 'defending Christianity?'

Can we expect some statement on the Jewish religion, its rejection of Christ, its sheer hatred of us Christians, and its - perceived or otherwise - "self-proclaimed destiny to conquer the entire world" -- or do you claim, like other Neo Cons that that too is "nothing to do with us?"

Is there a pattern appearing here?

Still we can rest easy that Mr. Griffin sees events outside Europe as nowt to write home about... or does he?

What need to worry about current events that can result in higher oil prices? or social instability? or political resentment? All of which can directly or indirectly effect the UK -- especially with our troops fighting needless wars on behalf of Neo Cons in America and Israel.

Far better to waffle on about history and Islamic crimes in... er... foreign countries!

No doubt the Crusaders who stopped off to attack Jewish ghettos en route to defend Europe from Islam and protect European and Arab Christians will be spinning in their graves at Mr. Griffin's playing footsie with Zionist Israel in their name!

As someone truly, purposefully ignorant of and silent on events in Occupied Palestine, it would be meaningless and pointless (and some might add a shameful gimmick), for example, for Mr. Griffin to state the following in an interview with a Hebrew-language Israeli newspaper (Ma'ariv):

"Four million Jews would be preferable to four million Pakistanis."

"[I have] no time for anti-Semites."

"[Bernard Madoff] didn't steal OUR pensions funds. He mostly stole from Jewish charities. He may be a Jewish crook, but his Jewishness is irrelevant."

Leaving us to ask the questions:

1. Why four million of any immigrant non-European, non-Christian people whose first loyalty will be to a potentially hostile state?

2. As Arabs are Semites will he take action and expel the morons in the BNP who applauded the murder of innocent Lebanese and now innocent Palestinians?

3. Madoff allegedly funneled funds through the UK (and Israel!) -- and will Mr. Griffin's BNP now stop cherry-picking crimes committed by Muslims as, according to his own criteria the religion or ethnic group of a criminal is "irrelevant"? By the way, as Robert Maxwell stole British pension monies and worked for Mossad, is his Jewishness also "irrelevant" to the BNP?

4. Why is Mr. Griffin wasting his time in a foreign paper, published in a foreign language which has "nothing to do with Britain, and therefore nothing to do with the British National Party." Or is he admitting via this interview, to a purely Israeli audience, that the influence of Israeli Jews over British politics is sufficient enough to warrant his time and energy? If this is the case his lies over Gaza will unravel. If it's not the case - why waste his time trying to curry favour with an anti-Christian people and terrorist state?

Still, it's nice to know that the "fourth largest" political party is consistent in its treatment of foreign affairs, criminal matters and war-mongering!

Consistantly pouring over "Islamist" affairs, criminality and "war-mongering" and consistantly ignoring Jewish Zionist affairs, criminality and "war-mongering."

I won't mention usury-banking, the credit crunch, the porn industry, international finance, over-representation in Parliament etc. because, sad to say, I can't see an "Islamist" element... so these won't matter to the BNP leader.

Happy Epiphany to One and All

A very Happy Epiphany to all our readers.

Today is the last of the Twelve Days of Christmas, so if your decorations aren't down yet you could well be destined to be one of the ne'erdowells and lazy gits who leave Rudolph on their roof and icicles on their guttering all year round!

Many Spaniards and Italians - even living in the UK - do not give their "Christmas" presents until the Eve of Epiphany and, when you think about it, this makes more sense because as well as celebrating Christmas and the birth of Christ they give their gifts at the time when we remember the Three Kings giving their gifts.

As anyone who sang carols this Christmas (or even back in school) will remember the Three Kings gave gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh: highlighting the fact that Christ was born to be King, Priest and Sacrifice.

A friend who went to Bethlehem for Midnight Mass made an interesting point the other day. The Jewish elders told King Herod that the Christ Child was born in Bethlehem (according to the prophets) after the Three Kings told Herod they were off to find the King of Kings.

Herod, who would go on to murder every child under the age of two in Bethlehem in his blood lust and insatiable desire to stay as the hedonistic King of Judea, won this information from the Sanhedrin (who would later orchestrate the crucifixion of Christ) who therefore knew the place and the time of Christ's birth.

My friend said that Bethlehem is just five miles from Jerusalem - easily a day's ride even in the days before Israeli Tanks and Caterpillar Bulldozers - yet the Jewish leaders did not even bother to travel those few miles.

Did they know - even at that stage - that the Christ was come to expose the Synagogue of Satan? Did they sense, from 'their father the devil,' that the Christ would cause enmity between them and Christians for thousands of years?

One can almost imagine the Jewish Elders looking down their noses at the Three Kings - 'these goyim interlopers '- and thus dismissing the Christ Child from His birth onwards...

So Happy Epiphany to one and all!

Let's remember Christ is and was our King, Priest and Sacrifice as we fight our struggle against the descendants of those who rejected Him and who still - to this day - use their weasel words and hired hands to justify the unjustifiable and foment upheaval to bring about their New World Order.

A painting of Christ's Nativity is often a comfortable Christmas card. Botticelli's picture is the reverse. It is the record of a spiritual struggle, a pilgrim's progress in which the pain is remembered.

On earth there is a strenuous convergence of diagonals. The paths and rocky walls zigzag angrily, their movements only slightly modified by the three figures in the foreground ('men of goodwill , as their fluttering scrolls inform us) who are receiving angelic comfort, and whose angular poses ascend in contrary direction to the plot of ground on which they stand. At the sides of the cave the scars in the rock are like the lances of an invading army, and within it there is a design of dangerous sharpness, as of some complex machine which will cause us pain unless we can master it. The sharpest point touches the Virgin's brow.

But above the roof the rhythm changes. The angularities of trouble are cut short, their halt made less abrupt by a fringe of trees, and there appears in the clear winter sky, capped by a golden dome, a circlet of angels so light, so free in their ecstatic movement from the discords of human conflict, that they remain in the mind's eye as the purest expression of heavenly bliss.

The Nativity is not one of those pictures which can be enjoyed through the eye alone. It is, in the best sense, a literary picture, to be read and slowly unriddled in the light of all that we can know about the painter and his times; and it even contains a long inscription which is an integral part of the whole. This is in Greek capitals, and, although it is unlikely that Botticelli knew Greek, it is obviously painted by his own hand. This is the only time he ever signed a painting, and clearly it had a special importance to him.

'I, Sandro, painted this picture', he says, 'at the end of the year 1500 in the troubles of Italy'; and he goes on to state that, after a time foretold by St John, the Devil will be chained and 'we shall see him trodden down, as in this picture'. Actually, we do not see this. There are four minor devils who have been transfixed with lances; also both Botticelli's references to the Book of Revelation are incorrect. But the general meaning of the inscription is clear, and we are led to ask why the painter of the Primavera and The Birth of Venus comes to be in this apocalyptic state of mind?

Even in his early work what distinguishes Botticelli from the other artists of his generation is his spiritual tautness. While his colleagues were concerned with rendering the movement of the body, he was always occupied with the stresses of the soul. But this religious temper was complicated by an almost morbid hunger for physical beauty. And when the humanist philosophers of the Medicean circle persuaded him that the inhabitants of Olympus, even that witch Madam Venus, could be made to symbolise Christian virtues, we can imagine how willingly Botticelli accepted their fine spun arguments. But how little of a pagan he became! Nothing could be further from the thoughtless, full bodied, fruit like gods of antiquity than his anxious divinities. And in the early 1490's he received from the same patron who had ordered The Birth of Venus, Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco de' Medici, a commission of a very different kind, an immense series of illustrations to Dante.

The Florentines of the fifteenth century studied Dante in much the same spirit as the Greeks of the fifth century (whom they so closely resembled) studied Homer; for information, for precept and for religious guidance. Botticelli's years of application to this task must have had a profound influence on his mind, and it is in the Dante drawings, of which over a hundred have survived, that one finds for the first time the uncorporeal lightness of his later work. They are the most Oriental works of Western art. They achieve their purpose by pure outline, which floats and dances with the same disregard of substance as thirteenth century illustrations to The Tale of Genji. The hard won laws of perspective, of which Botticelli had been the acknowledged master, are abandoned, and the figures are sprinkled over the pages like holy hieroglyphics.

Some of this oriental character survives in the Nativity. But compared with the decorations at Ajanta or Horajui, how complex is its design, how dreadfully urgent its message! This vision of joy and love has not been achieved, as in a Buddhist painting, by peaceful contemplation, but through participation in disasters.

Botticelli's experiences in the 1490's were such as would have bruised a stronger spirit than his. His patron and close friend, Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco, was the enemy of Savonarola. Yet Botticelli's brother Simone, with whom he shared a house, was an actual follower of the frate, and one cannot doubt that Botticelli himself was moved by the power of that high, haunting voice which had driven the Florentines into a state of hysteria. In 1497 his patron was forced into exile; in 1498 Savonarola's body was burnt in the Piazza della Signoria, and the conquering armies of France threatened the tranquillity of every State in Italy. By 1500 the troubles of Italy were real enough, and the most realistic mind in Europe was seeking for a saviour, though emphatically not for a Prince of Peace. There were also less real troubles. The two references to the Apocalypse in Botticelli's inscription remind us that just before the half millennium there was an outbreak of that fear of universal destruction which had afflicted men's minds five hundred years earlier, and from which we are not altogether free as the year 2000 approaches [nb - originally published in 1960.]. The night which preceded the blissful morning of Botticelli's Nativity must have been exceedingly dark.

The Nativity is in many respects an archaic work. Botticelli has accepted Savonarola's denunciation of realism, and drawn his Virgin and Child on a different scale from the subordinate figures, as a Byzantine painter would have done. He has made no attempt to create an illusion of depth, and has set the thatched penthouse in the centre of his scene, frontally to the spectator. The foreground figures have this same archaic flatness, as if to represent them in the round would be to introduce too strong a flavour of mortality. But such scruples need not be extended to Heaven, and the angels are far from archaistic. Ruskin called them pure Greek, and in fact their billowing draperies and thrown back heads do derive from the maenads of the fourth century. He also called them 'faceless', by which he meant he averted his eyes from their faces, because they are no longer pretty. SavonaroIan puritanism has made Botticelli renounce the physical beauty which he still thought appropriate to the blessed spirits in his Dante drawings. He has not been able to shake off the habit of sensitive observation on which his wonderful powers of draughtsmanship were based, and the thin arms are still drawn with delight. But the draped bodies are as angelically immaterial as anything in Byzantine art. This is the least sensuous dance in painting. If we join it, we do so with our spirits only, and as we move round the circle, swayed by the cross currents of draperies and wings, pausing at magical patterns of crowns and palmleaves, we may fancy that the heavenly music of the initiates may yet be audible to our corrupted senses. But for all its archaism and its renunciation of material things, the Nativity is not at all a 'precious work. It is, on the contrary, a strong picture, strong in design, grave in colour, vigorous in execution. Before a recent cleaning its strength was partially concealed by a tapestry like unity of tone, but now the interplay of colour enhances the energy of the design.

In the foreground wine-red draperies complement the mossy greens; to the right the shepherds are a subtle contrast of grey and brown, given life by the whitest angel in the whole picture. To the left the kings, although puritanically deprived of their regalia, are allowed more festive colours, and there is a Soft, rainbowish kind of pink in the angels' wings. But the central harmony, the grey of the rocks and the ass and the cold blue of the Virgin's mantle, is extremely severe, and reminds us that near the top of the Monte Sancto di Dio the air is too pure for human breath.

Cleaning has also heightened the contrast between earth and heaven. Only now, can we realise how clear and cold is the winter sky, and I confess that I had never before observed the small clouds, as jewel like as the clouds of Altdorfer, which infrinLe the golden dome. The painting of the foreground is much richer than I had supposed. The three groups have gained in importance and I am led to speculate on their meaning. Can these olive crowned martyrs be a cryptic representation of Savonarola and his two companions? Or do they, as seems more probable, symbolise all those who have come through great tribulation ? In either case these figures stretching out their arms to one another, their heads touching, their bodies far apart, are the visual equivalent to those reunions of the Blessed Spirits which reward us in the Paradiso.

The Nativity was the first of Botticelli's pictures to reach England, and when it was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1871 it seemed to confirm the spirit of pre-Raphaelitism in its second, poetic phase. The effect of the angels on Burne-Jones is obvious enough, although he was so far from the strain and struggle which underlay Botticelli's vision. For Ruskin, on the other hand, this latent hysteria was an added reason for enthusiasm, and set him off on one of his own most memorable visions: 'Suppose that over Ludgate Hill the sky had suddenly become blue instead of black, and that a flight of twelve angels covered with silver wings and their feathers with gold had alighted on the cornice of the railroad bridge as the doves alight on the cornices of St Mark's at Venice, and had invited the eager men of business below, in the centre of a city confessedly the most prosperous in the world, to join them for five minutes in singing the first five verses of such a psalm as the 103rd "Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me (the opportunity now being given for the expression of their most hidden feelings), all that is within me bless His holy name, and forget not all His benefits" do you not even thus, in mere suggestion, feel shocked at the thought, and as if my now reading the words were profane.'

Ever since I read this paragraph in The Eagle's Nest, over thirty years ago, it has been in my mind when I look at Botticelli's Nativity. It is not the kind of response to painting which has been considered acceptable during those years. But is it so far from Botticelli's intention? And, as this question forms in my mind, I begin to reflect on the shaky foundations of art history. Before the time of Leonardo da Vinci we have very little evidence of how painters regarded their art. Some scholars believe that they were simply craftsmen who derived all their ideas from learned patrons. Others assume that they were able to master the most complex systems of philosophy and embody them in their works. I do not know which is nearer the truth. But I am fairly certain that Botticelli was a man of the finest intelligence which he applied to the subjects of his pictures as well as to their design: that, for example, his St Augustine in the Ognissanti is the result of profound meditation on the Confessions, and that in the Nativity every movement has a meaning which becomes apparent only when we have steeped ourselves in the thought and imagery of his time.

Gaudete Sunday: Rejoice, Christmas is Almost Here

Today is Gaudete Sunday, which roughly translates as "Joyful Sunday."

Some of you may know of the beautiful song Gaudete, as sung by Steeleye Span (of "All Around My Hat" fame - get their greatest hits CD for some great songs) and latterly by the Medieval Babes (see videos above and below).

Latin for "Rejoice," Gaudete Sunday links in which the expectation of Christ's birth and historically our forefathers would have treated this as the beginning of Christmas (coming as it does sort of midway between the start of Advent and the 'official' 12 days of Christmas).

So enjoy Gaudete Sunday and perhaps we can all start to prepare for Christmas in a way that doesn't involve Cohen's (sorry... Tesco's) and Marks and Spencers.
